Celebrity inspired makeup look

For this week I recreated a look of one of my favourite celebrity makeup artists. His name is Patrick, you can find him on Instagram as Patrickta. I truly love his work, as his looks are always so luminous and flawless!  I recreated the look that he did on Jasmine Sanders. It’s a very simple yet bold look because of the dark lip.

To start off with the skin I mixed two dewy foundations, Maybelline Fit Me and Evagarden Highlight foundation to create that healthy, luminous finish. Then I bronzed my skin using the Bourjois Bronzing primer. I used more bronzer than I usually would on my forehead, just because the hair was pulled back in a tight ponytail, making to forehead look slightly larger. So in order to counteract you take the bronzer a bit lower to make it appear smaller.

To lightly set the skin I used the Charlotte Tilbury Skin Perfecting Micro Powder. This is perfect for this look as it sets the skin without making it look too matte. To highlight the rest of my skin I used a mixture of shades from the Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit.

For blusher I wanted to keep it very light, so I used the Charlotte Tilbury Sex on Fire just to give a little flush to the cheeks.

Another trick that celebrity makeup artists do is to use the same products on the eyes as on the skin so that it all looks in sync. So the eyes were super simple as I used the highlighter that I used on my skin all over the lid and almost up to the crease. For mascara I used the Max Factor False Lash Epic to give them length and volume.

This week I did my brows different than I usually would, as her brows are thicker than mine. I used the powder in the Ultimate Brow Palette from BHcosmetics, to give it a softer effect.

Finally the lips, which are the star of the look. The closest matte lip colour I own was the Prestige My Matte Lip Tint in the shade 06 Audace which I think is close enough to what she is wearing!
