Charlotte Tilbury - The Sophisticate

Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog! :)

I hope you are all having a wonderful time with your family and friends during these holidays! It is the time of giving and receiving and fortunately enough I was given a present that I was always keeping my eye on. This is the Charlotte Tilbury The Sophisticate makeup set. I had to review this set for you to see whether it is worth spending the money on, as it has quite a high price point.

To those who are obsessed with makeup, will also see this as a collector’s item. The packaging is so beautiful and sleek. Another thing which I think is very helpful is that on each box of each product you have the instructions of how to use the product. However, more importantly, are the products any good?

This set includes seven products, and I am going to start off with the Full Fat Lashes mascara. I think this is the standout product for me out of all the set. The brush is not too thick to the point where you cannot coat the inner lashes. It has the perfect shape and size to evenly coat the lashes. This mascara gives both length and volume, without it being clumpy. It separates the lashes so beautiful giving the impression of wearing false lashes and it stays on all day without budging or crumbling off.

The Cheek to Chic Swish and Pop Blusher is absolutely stunning! The main purpose of the shape and shades in this blush is to swish your brush in the outer-shade and apply that across your cheekbones. Then apply the middle shade onto the apples of the cheeks. However, I just swirl a big fluffy brush in both shades and apply them all over the cheek area. It looks so natural and youthful; it gives the perfect flush on the cheeks.

As I applied the lip liner, I knew that I was going to use it religiously. It has the perfect name, as you can easily cheat and balance your lip shape and size by drawing along the outer edge of your natural lip. The formula of this lip liner is not as creamy as the Kylie Cosmetics ones, yet it is not as drying as the MAC lip liners.
The Lip Lustre gives a nice wash of colour on the lips, without being too sticky. The last lip product in this set is the lipstick. First of all the scent of this lipstick is so sweet, you would almost want to eat it; I love it. I do like the formula, it has a semi-matte finish, but those who have dry lips would need to moisturize before hand because it did extenuate the slight dry patch on my lips. I use this lipstick with another lipstick that has a slight pink tone to it, as on me the shade can look a little muddy as I am very pale.

Moving on to the eyes the Luxury Palette is incredible! The shades are so smooth, pigmented and easy to blend. This specific palette is cool toned which is not usually my preferred line of shades, but since they are brown shades I have been using them as my transition shades.

Last but not least is the Classic Eye powder pencil. I was blown away by this, by just one swipe you get an immediate colour payoff and it stays on for hours without budging or moving around.
Overall, you can probably tell that I love this set! From my experience with these products I can say that I 100% justify the price for these and I surely will purchase more of her products.

I hope you enjoyed this post and as always thank you for reading! I hope you have a new year filled with love and joy!
